Even before the prototype is finished our Content Production teams will start visualizing the customer’s product communication with an attention to detail that makes it impossible to distinguish the visualization from the real thing. As Senior Software Engineer you take over the design and development of internal software products to be used inhouse for complex CG production.


Job Responsibilities
Developing toolsets, which improve the quality and efficiency of the production process, while ensuring high-level of engineering

Technical direction of software projects, particularly with regard to quality and delivery across the associated artist and development teams
Developing toolsets, which improve the quality and efficiency of the production process, while ensuring high-level of engineering
Managing high-level design choices for software patterns, structure, frameworks, protocols, and algorithms of the solutions
Collaborating closely with all relevant internal and external stakeholders, key opinion leaders and decision makers to evaluate feasibility of requirements and determine priorities for development
Advocating best practices in design, modeling, coding, testing and deployment across the artist and development teams
Evaluating emerging technologies and software products to determine feasibility and desirability of integrating their functions to current toolset

Requirements
Profound knowledge of designing, developing and implementing tools and APIs spanning product generations for the CGI production

University degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or in a similar specialisation
At least 3 years experience in leading complex software development projects - from definition of scope/objectives, to development of project plan and schedule, to implementation and monitoring
Profound knowledge of designing, developing and implementing tools and APIs spanning product generations for the CGI production
Experience in designing large-scale database-driven software services with high-availability, performance and scalability architectures
Expert know-how in Windows and Linux, experience with core Big Data / Web-scale technologies is a plus
Very good skills in C++, Python, MEL, SVN and SQL
Ability to work with cross-functional teams and effectively communicate priorities, delivery expectations, risks and concerns
Excellent time management, organisational and prioritisation skills and ability to balance multiple priorities
Self-reliant, solution-oriented way of working with an outstanding team and communication skills
Fluent in English, German language skills are an advantage
